Now that we’re well into the Fall season and Blogtober is in full swing, it feels like the right time to dive into my first ever Fall Tag!
What’s a Fall Tag?
As the creator herself would put it:
How it works is, you would create a new blog post of your own, you would tag back to my blog as the person who created and tagged you to credit my questions! Then you’d take my questions which I will be answering in this post (I will have the questions numbered at the end for you to easily copy & paste to your blog) and answer them in your own fall tag post!
Once you answer all the questions, you would then tag others (link back to their blog) to take the tag next! They would Tag back to you and then repeat the process! It’s a fun way to help build SEO and to celebrate the fall season! Now let’s get on to the fall questions!

1. What is one candle you MUST light every Fall?
I don’t have a specific one in mind here, but Sohrab and I are really big into candles. We really like to find new candles to light, even though we really don’t need new ones. Two of our favorite places to search for new additions to our collection are Target and HomeGoods. (Who am I kidding? These are two of my favorite places to wander no matter what time of year it is.)
2. When you think of Fall, what does it remind you of?
Happiness. Rain. Cloudy days and warm drinks. This emoji 🎃.
3. What is your all time favorite Fall/Halloween movie?
Some think of it as a Halloween movie, others a Christmas movie, but I love it for both, so I’ll just say it – Nightmare Before Christmas puts me in a big mood.
Oh, and I’ve never seen Hocus Pocus. Not sure how that happened, but here we are. Anyone want to come over for a movie night?
4. What Halloween costume do you have in mind?
To be honest, I haven’t decided yet. Fortunately, it’s still early October! In the past, Hermione has been a go-to. Sohrab and I have done a couple’s costume of Speed Racer and Trixie. More often than not, we lean towards nerdy costumes!
5. What is your favorite Fall trend?
Scarves.
6. When you think of Fall, what drink comes to mind?
Pumpkin spice lattes – but of course. I’m not ashamed.
7. What is your go to Fall beauty product? A must have staple!
Dark Stila eyeliner and gold eyeshadow is my Autumn aesthetic, but I’ve never been “good” at doing my own makeup, so I don’t usually go too crazy with it. I’d love to experiment with a darker lip.
8. Do you prefer apple pie or pumpkin pie?
I honestly don’t have a preference between the two. They’re both incredible, tasty bites of Autumn. My only ideal is that they’re homemade pies. With my mom’s recipe.
That’s not too much to ask, is it?
Well – perhaps it helps that every year, I make pumpkin and apple pies from scratch. Even the crust!

9. Do you have any Fall traditions? If so tell us all about it!
When I was young, we would decorate the front porch for Halloween. It’s one of those porches that is inset into the house – a brick-laid hallway with a peaked roof. We’d drape the entrance to the porch with thick glow in the dark spiderwebs that trick-or-treaters would have to climb through to get to our door.
Now, Sohrab and I decorate our balcony with similar spiderwebs and other spooky things, then we go out to celebrate at the Hollywood Halloween party!
Oh, and the pies.
10. The moment of truth, is Fall your favorite season?
Far and away, YES! The mood of the city changes, the taste of the air shifts. There’s a bit more excitement everywhere I go. I just love the Fall vibe.
